Joelyne Annette Beach, age 90 of York, NE, died Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in York. She was born on March 6, 1936 to Harold and Blanche (Bowling) Mentzer in Wessington Springs, SD. She attended country schools in Buffalo Co, and graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1954.
On January 17, 1958 she was united in marriage to Howard W. Beach in Los Angeles, CA.
Joelyne was a homemaker and enjoyed being outside, gardening, and loved spending time with her family. She belonged to a walking club.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Beach of York, and son Stewart (Claire) Beach of Aurora, IL, grandchildren Amber (Scott) Knowles of Lincoln, NE, Crystal Aurini of York, Eric (Kyra) Rowe of York, Steven Beach of Aurora, IL, Nicole Stengele of Yorkville, IL, Chloe Beach of Philadelphia, PA, and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marlene (Marv) Voelker of Colman, SD, brother Roger (Myrna) Mentzer of Kimball, SD, brother Marvin (Carla) Mentzer of Wessington Springs, SD, sister Marlys (Larry) Linn of Billings, MT,brotherDavidMentzer of Brookings, SD, sisterin- law Vonna Mentzer of Wessington Springs, SD, sister-in-law Micki Stough of Sioux Falls, SD, and many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Beach, her parents Harold and Blanche Mentzer, brother Darold Mentzer, and greatgranddaughter Emory.
There will be no service or visitation. A private family memorial will be held on June 6th. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
