I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. She said it was raining. I enjoyed the hamburger dinner from the Manor kitchen.
Baleigh Sails came to Grandma Dar’s after school on Monday. Candi Sails got her after work in Mitchell.
Monday evening, I watched the Minnesota Twins play Cleveland. The Twins had 2 and Cleveland scored 1 in the third inning, then they had a rain delay! I didn’t hear if they finished the game.
Tuesday, I enjoyed the ham dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen.
Joyce Mees was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee on Wednesday. She had red, white & blue plates and napkins. She served a delicious rhubarb dessert with caramel frosting and a snack mix. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Lorraine Schultz, Darleen Cuppy, Judy Baumgart, Kathy Brandenburg and the mail lady. I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and cherry dessert from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. bingo was played with Shirley Bender calling the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Joyce Mees, Ruth Jensen, Doris Deneke, Darleen Cuppy, Marilyn Robbins and Judy Baumgart. Candi and Baleigh Sails visited me Wednesday evening. The Minnesota Twins played the Cleveland Guardians. The Twins won 6-5.
Thursday, I rode the bus with Joanne Grohs to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for my 10:30 a.m. appointment for shampoo and set. At noon I enjoyed the pizza, lettuce salad and Mandarin oranges from the Manor kitchen. My daughter Cindy Zenk of Webster called Thursday evening to visit.
Friday, I enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen. Friday evening the Minnesota Twins played the Kansas City Royals. The Twins won 3-1. My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger came Friday night and helped me with several things. I am very grateful.
Saturday, I enjoyed one of my favorite meals from the Manor kitchen – BBQ ribs, baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. I went for a walk on Saturday evening.
Sunday Jim Deines drove the bus to the Methodist church. Riding were Darleen Cuppy, Elaine Roetman, Rochelle Witte, and Mary Lou Cameron. Diane Winter played the prelude, Pastor Cheri Van Gorp welcomed everyone and said a prayer. We sang “How Great Thou Art.”Severalannouncements were shared. The children went down for the Children’s Message by Pastor Cheri. The Noisy Offering was taken. Joys and Concerns were shared. The Offering was taken, then we sang “There’s Within My Heart a Melody. Pastor Cheri’s sermon was The Great Soldier, scripture Revelations 19:11-16. We closed with the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy.”
I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. After dinner I watched the Minnesota Twins play the Kansas City Royals. It went ten innings with the Kansas City Royals winning 2-1.
