I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News on Veterans Day, and Delia came to get it. I was so disappointed I couldn’t get the Veterans Day program to come in. I amproudof myfamilythat have served; my dad Mike Weeldreyer – Army, four brothers, Elmer–Army, Harvey–Marines, Roger-Navy, Robert (Bob)-Army, and two grandsons, Deion Sails-Army, Brandon Cuppy-Air Force. I want to compliment Editor Kristi Hine on the pictures and write up she had in the True Dakotan.
My granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger stopped in the evening.
Tuesday, I enjoyed the ham dinner from the Manor kitchen. Tuesday afternoon the Methodist Women’s Fellowship met in the dining room. Attending were Pastor Cheri Van Gorp, Mary Lou Cameron, Julie Kaus, Rochelle Witte, Eileen Thomas, Joyce Krueger, Darleen Cuppy, Elaine Roetman, Mary Jane Belz, Sandy Beckman, Diane Patton and Diane Winter. Diane Winter served a delicious pumpkin dessert and coffee.
Thanks to Candi Sails and Baleigh for helping set the table Tuesday evening.
Wednesday I was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. I had small Thanksgiving turkey plates and orange napkins. I served mini donuts, a small piece of cinnamon roll, and donut holes. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Kathy Larson, Luella Teveldal, Judy Baumgart and Lorraine Schultz. Thanks to Kathy Larson for making the coffee and Lorraine Schultz for serving it.
Thursday I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for a 10:30 a.m. appointment.
I enjoyed the pizza, lettuce salad, and mandarin oranges for dinner. I went to PT with Jen Jensen at 1:45 p.m. and at 7 p.m. I watched the Parkston Trojans and the Hamlin Chargers play football at the Dome on channel 10. Hamlin won 32-8.
Friday I enjoyed the ham dinner from the Manor kitchen. Football at the Dome started early on Friday. Wolsey-Wessington played Howard at 10, the Howard Tigers won 32-8. At 2 p.m. Sioux Valley played Winner with Winner winning 20-14. Candi Sails and Baleigh brought me a delicious chicken supper. At 7 p.m. Pierre played Watertown. Watertown won 14-13.
Saturday, I enjoyed the BBQ ribs, baked beans, cornbread and pudding from the Manor kitchen. At 12 p.m. Lennox Orioles played the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers at the Dome. Lennox won 14-6. At 5 p.m. Brandon Valley played Sioux Falls Lincoln. Lincoln won 3121. My granddaughter Ella Darleen White was one of the cheerleaders for Lincoln! She is the daughter of Cathy and Scott White. Ella’s sister, Nora, plays in the band.
Sunday Darleen Cuppy, Rochelle Witte, Elaine Roetman and Mary Lou Cameron rode the bus with Joanne Grohs to the Methodist church. Lisa Edwards played a beautiful prelude. Rod Huisman welcomed everyone and said a prayer. Several joys and concerns were shared. We all said the Lord’s Prayer. The Offering was taken, and we sang the Doxology. Special music by the choir was performed. The choir was Jan Krohmer, Laura Kieser, Diane Winter, Julie Kraft, Gretchen Burnison, Lila Hoffman, and Darrel Winter. Rod Huisman’s sermon was The Dash. We closed with the hymn Amazing Grace. It was so nice to have my daughter Candi Sails and Baleigh sit with me.
I enjoyed the roast beef dinner and pie from the Manor kitchen. The Minnesota Vikings played the Tennessee Titans. The Vikings won 23-13.
Candi Sails and Baleigh brought me some lasagna for supper and visited for a while.
