“Cuppy’s Corner”

I wrote Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. I enjoyed the rib sandwich, baked beans, macaroni salad and cake from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Joanne Grohs.

Tuesday my granddaughter Nicole Cuppy Hedt came to visit me. She was on her way to spend Thanksgiving with her parents Darryl and Nancy Cuppy in Harrold, SD. My daughter Candi Sails came over to visit with Nicole. Nicole got dinner from the Springs Inn for us. So good to see her since she travels a lot for work.

Wednesday, Judy Baumgart was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee. She had pretty plates and napkins and served donuts. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Joyce Mees, Luella Teveldal, Darleen Cuppy and Kathy Larson.

I rode the bus to Angie Mentzer’s for a 10 a.m. appointment. I enjoyed the turkey dinner from the Senior Center. It was delivered by Jim Deines. My daughter Candi Sails brought delicious broccoli cheese soup for supper.

Candi and Leon Sails and Baleigh hosted Thanksgiving dinner at their home. They had turkey, ham with all the trimmings, and three kinds of pie! Deion James Sails of Sioux Falls and children Athena Skye and True James enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner and stayed overnight. My daughter Connie Theuer of Rosemont, MN called in the evening. They had their girls Amber Hudson and family and Amy Thurston and girls over for Thanksgiving dinner.

Friday, I enjoyed the brat and bun, potato salad, and cake from the Manor kitchen. Candi and Baleigh Sails and Deion Sails, Athena Skye and True James stopped in at 5 p.m. Friday evening to visit Grandma Dar.

Saturday my daughter Cindy Zenk of Webster stopped in with a beautiful poinsettia and visited for a while. She was going to the funeral of a friend in Woonsocket. Darleen enjoyed the Salisbury steak dinner and pudding from the Manor kitchen. Candi and Baliegh Sails came Saturday evening and put my Christmas decorations out. They look so beautiful! Most of the apartments have beautiful Christmas decorations on their doors.

Sunday, I was planning to ride the bus to the Methodist Church, but my neck was hurting so bad. I watched the Christian Worship Hour on TV. I enjoyed the dinner and cherry pie from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. Candi and Baleigh came and took me to play Bingo at the Senior Center. We had to leave early since my neck started hurting so bad.
