James B. Short, 71, of Boone, Iowa, passed away at his home in Boone on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was born on May 12, 1954, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, the son of Burton and Clara Short.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Mason Short.
James is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Mike) Roeder, and Amanda O’Brien; step-sons, Nick Feigen and Aaron Feigen; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Harold (Doris) Short, William (Joan) Short, and John (Debra) Short; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in South Dakota.
