Summer Spirit Takes Center Stage at Foothills Days

Wessington Springs buzzed with activity last weekend as Foothills Days returned August 1–3 with a full slate of events celebrating small-town pride and summer fun. The three-day celebration offered something for everyone: shopping, barbecue, games, music, and meaningful moments of fellowship throughout the community.

The Firemen’s FunFest held at the Wessington Springs Fire Hall had something for everyone on Friday, August 1, 2025. Area kids bounced while others played cornhole and enjoyed grilled brats and burgers. More from FunFest on PAGE NINE

Music from local favorite, The Turtle Peak Band set the festive tone at Rockin’ Ribfest.

A longstanding tradition at the Springs Country Club, the Mayor’s Classic drew 24 teams from across the region. More at www. truedakotan.com Local firemen and area children held water contests with fire hoses south of the fire hall during FunFest.
