Jerauld County residents planning new construction, moving a structure or making a major addition to an existing property are reminded that a building permit is required before work begins.
Permits may be obtained through the Jerauld County Equalization Office. Applicants should provide project blueprints and estimated construction costs when applying.
Residents who begin work without first obtaining the required permit may be subject to a $200 fine.
