Beverly Jean Larsen

Beverly Jean (Sargent) Larsen (82) died peacefully on Oct 23, 2024, in Hudson, WI, of Lewey Body Dementia surrounded by her family and the loving caregivers at Red Cedar Canyon.

Born in Miller, SD, Bev attended rural country schools; six years north of Wessington, SD, and two years southwest of Wessington Springs, SD. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1960.

After high school Bev met and married Bob Larsen and they raised their family in Minneapolis, MN, area. Bev then started her career as an entrepreneur, owning and operating several boutiques in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. Her ambition led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree (English and Theatre) and later a master’s degree, both from the University of WI at River Falls.

Her last career involved teaching English and Speech classes at Chippewa Valley Technical College, WI, and at UWRF.

Her love for Jesus and her family were evident in her life. She was active in Crossroads Church in Cottage Grove, MN, and later at Trinity Lutheran in Hudson, WI, playing the organ, teaching Sunday School classes, and participating in Bible studies.

Beverly is survived by her husband Bob; children Jon, Scott (Jane), Daniel (Shellie), and Kori (Carl); siblings Billie (Eva) and Virginia (Don); grandkids Jenna, Robby, Alex, Blake, Emma, Jack, Greta, Ted, and Ben.

A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held on Friday, November 22, at 11 a.m. at the Cottage Grove campus of the Crossroads Church, 7955 Ivy Stone Ave., Cottage Grove, MN.
