Patricia A. Berens passed away peacefully at her home in South Dakota, surrounded by family on July 21, 2023, at 73 years old. Pat was born to James and Virginia Bowles in Auburn, Washington on July 18, 1950. Pat graduated from Auburn Senior High. In 1967 Pat met John Berens and was married on March 6, 1970. They settled in Auburn, where they raised their three children, Virginia, William, and Robin.
Pat devoted her life to being the best wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. Aswellasbeing a mother and homemaker, Pat worked alongside John in his automotive shop for several years.
Her favorite hobbies included camping, cooking, baking, sewing, and canning. Pat and John retired and moved to Wessington Springs, South Dakota in September 2006.
Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Berens, and sister, Sharon Yearwood; daughters Ginny Berens and Robin Berens, and son Willie Berens; grandchildren, Melissa Berens, John Uhls, Sarah King, Willy Berens, and Denise Tanner; greatgrandchildren Alydiah Jo, Buckley, Trigger, Eleanor, Patsy and Oliver.
Pat is predeceased by her parents James and Virginia, and sisters Judy Chezick-Foister and Carol Thompson.
Pat was always loved; she will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
A private burial service will be held September 15, 2023, in Auburn, Washington. Her family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
