Vera Weber, age 90, of Wessington Springs, met the Lord in the late afternoon of May 14, 2026. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs. Burial followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born on September 2, 1935, to Edward and Rosina (Speck) in Conata, SD. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School and WS Junior College. In January of 1954, she met the love of her life, Lester. Less than seven months later, they were united in marriage at the Salem Lutheran Church. To this union three children were born; Donna, Skip (Kevin), and Denise.
Her biggest joys in life was being a wife, mother, grandma, and best of all nan. She was anxiously awaiting her first greatgreat grandson to arrive in July.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Larry) Jost, and Denise Colbert; grandchildren, Niki (Nathan) Hainy, Derek Blotske, Dustin (Carmen) Weber, Jason (Cristin) Weber; seven greatgrandchildren, Noah (Darissa) Hainy, Cooper (Daytona) Hainy, Carson Hainy, Ashlyn and Hudson Weber, Hadley and Finley Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lester; her son Kevin; granddaughter Laura Blotske; son-inlaw, Pat Colbert; seven brothers and four sisters.
