Mark Fuerst

Mark Fuerst, age 59, of Wessington Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his home with his family by his side, under hospice care. His funeral service was held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at the United Methodist Church, Wessington Springs.

Thelma Decker

Thelma Decker age 92, of Aberdeen and formerly of Huron, passed away on July 20, 2023. A funeral service was held Monday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Living Hope Alliance Church in Huron. Visitation was one hour before the service and a lunch and interment followed.

Joyce Beckman

Joyce Beckman was born February 18, 1927 to Glen and Myrtle (Bennett) Eddy and passed away early June 25, 2023 in the loving care of Weskota Manor personnel and her family. She made her home with her parents and brother, Dihl, NW of Wessington Springs.

Karen Holt

Memorial Service for Karen Joy (Cooper) Holt, 80, of Aberdeen, SD will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Aldersgate Church in Aberdeen, SD with Pastor Derek Baum officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Karen passed away July 7, 2023 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor.

Leslie McFarling

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Dr. Leslie Harold McFarling, 74, passed away in the company of his wife and children. He was continuing his fight with cancer at the time of his passing.

Mary (Jones) Gundy

Mary (Jones) Gundy of California passed away on June 28, 2023. Mary was raised in Wessington Springs and lived in and around the Huron area. She graduated WSHS Class of 1969 and was a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Donald Dale Easton

Donald Dale Easton, 82, passed away on June 27 at his home in Rapid City. Don was born on May 11, 1941 to Dale and Angela Easton in Wessington Springs, SD. He was the second oldest of six children.

Janis L. Hasz

The funeral service for Janis L. Hasz, 89, of Aberdeen, SD, was at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2023, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Waldrop officiating. The service was streamed on Janis’ obituary page of the funeral home website. Burial was at 3 p.m.

Duane A. Grieve

Graveside services with Military Rites for Duane A. Grieve will be held on July 15, 2023 at Hope Cemetery, rural Wessington Springs at 1 p.m. Fellowship will follow at Springs Inn Café.

Gary Schwartz
