Dorothy Powell, 86, of Wessington Springs passed away early Tuesday morning April 11, 2023 at the Weskota Manor Avera Nursing Home. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday April 17, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs.

Jim Linn, son of Edwin and Arlene (Peters) Linn, was born October 23, 1943 in Wessington Springs, SD. He grew up in Wessington Springs and graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1961. After his schooling, Jim drove milk truck and also helped his father with his trucking business.

Irene Koehn, 102, of Wessington Springs passed away Friday evening March 24, 2023 at the Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket. Visitation was Tuesday March 28, 2023 from 5-7 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Johnnie Von Eye was born August 14, 1934 to Gerritt and Katie (Plooster) Von Eye near Platte, South Dakota. In 1939, his parents moved the family to Jerauld County, later moving to Buffalo County where they established their homestead.

Rory Couch, 66, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on February 20, 2023,at home with his family. Rory was born on July 22, 1956, to Darold and Lela Couch in Mitchell, South Dakota. His family lived on a farm two miles north of Woonsocket.
