Julia Leite Hull

Julia Mae Leite Hull, 78, passed peacefully on January 3, 2023, finally succumbing to breast cancer, her journey of nearly sixteen years. She was at home in her bed and in the company of loved ones.

Clarence Snyder Clarence Snyder’s memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday December 30, 2022 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. Visitation will be held starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill cemetery.

Funeral services for Jerry Abernathy, 99, of Groton were held at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton, Tuesday, December 27, 3 p.m. (visitation one hour preceding). Rev. Terry Kenny officiated and military honors were provided by Groton American Legion Post #39.

Early December 16, 2022 Clarence was called to his Heavenly home after dealing with many health issues. Clarence was born September 12, 1931 to George and Mae Snyder.

Caroline Larson, 94, of WessingtonSpringspassed away Sunday December 18 at the Weskota Manor Avera Nursing Home in Wessington Springs. Caroline was born on February 9, 1928 to Jacob and Margaret (Seitz) Spies in Mauston, WI. She graduated from Mauston High School in 1946.

Bernice Ione (Renando) Olson passed away on November 28, 2022, at Westwood Place in Watertown, MN. Bernice was born on May17,1927,atWessington Springs, SD, to Edwin and Ida (Gunderson) Renando. She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church, Wessington Springs, SD.

Marion Faye Meyer 93, of White Lake, SD formally of Wessington Springs, gained her wings on Wednesday afternoon at the Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday November 30 at the Basham Funeral Chapel in Wessington Springs.

Arliss Bennett

Arliss Bennett, 84, of WessingtonSprings,SD,died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Aurora-Brule Nursing Home in White Lake. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, at Wessington Springs United Methodist Church. Burial was at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs.

Donald Knigge

Donald Fay Knigge Sr. passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 81 years of age. Don was born on May 6 of 1941 in Wessington Springs, SD. He was one of seven children born to August and Alta Knigge.

Gerald W. Klaas, 83, Woonsocket, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Prairie View Care Center, Woonsocket, under hospice care, with his family by his side.
