We are in the midst of the annual respiratory virus season which includes seasonal influenza as well as RSV and several lesser known viruses. 2025 is proving to be an especially bad “flu” year both in S.D. and nationwide. The number of reported influenza cases in S.D.

I wrote my Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. My daughter Candi Sails and Baleigh went to Mitchell, I asked them to get some things I needed for serving coffee on Wednesday.

Greetings District 20 residents, Today more than ever, our labor market favors workers with college degrees. This includes all degrees from S.D.’s technical colleges. The share of jobs available to people without a college degree fell from 63% in 1992 to 51% in 2021.

Thank you to the Wessington Springs Athletic Hall of Fame committee for the honor of being induced into the Hall’s 2025 class. Congratulations to the other inductees and it was an enjoyable and very humbling day for my family and I seeing so many friends that we have not seen in too long of a time.
