As you may recall, I questioned the Wessington Springs School District Board of Education during the July meeting regarding action taken on fitness center rates when it did not appear on the agenda, as reported in the July 17 edition.

Springs Owls: Thank You to the Community for Your Support and Help This SeasonSprings Community, there is no way to thank every person that helped with the Owls District 3 Tournament. We had volunteers taking tickets, singing the Anthem, and with general cleanup.

A Call for Civility

A while back, I was welcoming home a National Guard unit that had been overseas. After the ceremony, a sergeant who had been deployed three times, including twice to an active combat zone, thanked me for my service, saying he couldn’t imagine a post so difficult.I was speechless.
