There are so many questions. Is it safe? Does pot smoking lead to the use of hard drugs? What is the risk of pot smoking during pregnancy? Does marijuana have medical value in treating disease? Does smoking pot relieve the side effects of cancer treatment?

Kathy let him know she was pleased to hear from him.

LETTERBOX: Thankful for our health care workers in town

To the Editor, I just wanted to express my thoughts on a few things in our town. I always knew we were fortunate to have the health care that we do in our community. I wanted to take this time to thank everyone who takes care of us — from the clinic to the therapists on the other end.

To the Editor, I feel like the public should know about the problems we have in Lane! First off we have the highest taxes in Jerauld County — about three times higher than even Wessington Springs!! For what? The town does nothing for us.Second, now you see Leap to Lane advertised.

Darleen wrote her news Monday morning. Delia came to get it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the chicken and noodles hot dish, carrots and watermelon from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins play the Colorado Rockies. The Twins won 5-0!

LETTERBOX: Fabulous turn out at recent blood drive

Alyssa Grohs, from Wessington Springs High School, held a Scholarship Blood Drive with LifeServe Blood Center on Tuesday, June 11, and had a fabulous turn out. Thirty-eight people registered to donate, 34 donors were able to donate, and 40 units of life saving blood were donated.
