FROM THE LEGISLATURE: DISTRICT 20 COLUMNS

We wrapped up week 3 in the state legislature, and it’s picking up the pace. I’m still learning the ropes and the rules, but this year I’m also learning the unwritten rule that politics brings out the worst in people.

“Cuppys Corner”

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner News Monday forenoon. Delia Atkinson came to get it later. It was very cold and windy again! Darleen enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken dinner from the Manor kitchen. The Spartans boys played Sunshine Bible Academy at 1 p.m. Spartans won 71-19.

Cuppys Corner

As I write my news it is a very cold and windy day in Wessington Springs. Darleen Cuppy wrote her news last Monday morning, Kristi Hine got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen. We received a lot of snow.

I heard the weather report and decided to write my news Sunday night – as you might need to get my news early. Monday New Year’s Day the Ness family, Marla, Mette, Dave and Curt hosted a holiday supper in the south dining room. They served oyster stew, chili, sandwiches, cookies and candy.
