Because Christmas was on Monday when I usually write my news, I was planning to write it on Tuesday. Delia was here at 8:30 a.m. to pick it up but I didn’t have it ready since I usually don’t start it until 9 a.m.

Happy Holidays to my beloved patrons and my wonderful community. Can you believe it has been one year and it is Christmas once again? Time sure does fly by. In case you missed it, here is my 2023 recap.

“Cuppys Corner”

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning; Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen had a Christmas card for Delia and Kristi. She addressed more Christmas cards for family and friends in the afternoon. Tuesday, Darleen enjoyed the chicken dinner from the Manor kitchen.

True Dakotan Editor Urges Readers to Oppose USPS Proposal

Earlier this month, the United States Postal Service announced a proposal to convert the Dakota Central mail processing center in Huron into strictly a local mail processing center. The result of this would be a delay in mail delivery throughout the region.

Appreciate Open House Event and Building Renovation

Dear Kristi, Your Open House on Saturday was so much fun! Thanks to you and Delia for the tour and the goodies! Most of all, I want to thank you for painstakingly rescuing one of Wessington Springs’ oldest Main Street buildings and for publishing an outstanding newspaper.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning; Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen. Tuesday Grandma Dar was very grateful her granddaughter Becky Krueger came after school and ordered Darleen’s Christmas cards on her computer.

Sharing Newlywed News

Lauren Iraeta, granddaughter of Gerald (WSHS Class of 1956) and Sandra Matson was united in marriage to Nate Cramer on October 10 in Paso Robles, Calif. The Cramers honeymooned in Paris, Greece and Turkey.
