AVERA WESKOTA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL MONTHLY COLUMN This month, we’re hoping for an end to winter – or for it to at least wind down in March. We also want to help bring an end to colon cancer during March, which is National Colorectal Awareness Month.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Sunday evening. Delia Atkinson got it Monday forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen at noon. Monday was the first day of spring. The temperature doesn’t feel like it yet and haven’t seen any robins or daffodils.

A recent report indicated a man showing up at the entrance to Heaven. When asked “how did you get here,” he responded “I don’t know.” The angel inquired, “on what basis are you here?” The man answered “The man on the middle cross said I could come.” That is the only answer.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. It was very windy. Darleen enjoyed the hamburger, tater tot, green beans and pudding from the Manor kitchen at noon. Darleen Cuppy called her twin sister, Marleen, Monday evening.

Origin of Covid

Recent news has focused on the origin of the Covid-19 virus. There is an ongoing debate about whether Covid-19 originated from spread of an animal virus to humans or whether the outbreak came from virus that leaked from a research lab.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed watching the Lady SDSU Jacks play Oral Roberts in the afternoon. The Lady Jacks won 87-60. In the evening the SDSU men played NDSU – North Dakota men won 8979.
