Baseball fans of Wessington Springs, Another spring is finally here and so is baseball. The Owls will be around for another summer to fill up some of your Thursday and Sunday evenings. It’s nice to have a strong bunch of local men to fill the roster.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen’s daughter Candi Sails came in the forenoon and visited awhile. Darleen had made a list of items she needed, and Candi got them for her.

Democracy and Covid

Battles between advocates for individual freedom and public officials regarding implementation of various public mandates (mask wearing, vaccination, etc.) continue. To me these represent conflicts which go to the very heart of the democratic process.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen Monday noon. It was delivered by Marla Ness. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play Boston Red Sox Monday night. Twins won 8-3.
