As the lots have been cast … and it has been determined that I offer this month’s reflection on behalf of the Wessington Springs Ministerial, I thought it prudent to reflect on all that has been happening in the past few weeks worldwide.

SD Democratic Party Statement on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization

The South Dakota Democratic Party released the following statement last week with regard to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade: Today’s Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade immediately enacts South Dakota’s trigger laws making abortion illegal no matter the circumstance.

On June 24, the Supreme Court announced something that countless Americans have prayed for over the past 50 years: they reversed the Roe v. Wade decision and allowed states to make their own choices over abortion policy.

ARE YOU LOST?

Do you remember getting lost as a child? Going to a large grocery store and becoming distracted by something? Pretty soon we're next to a nasally store clerk who's paging overhead, "we have a lost child–(to us,) how old are you honey?" We can mark that up as one of our most embarrassing moments!

JESUS LOVES ME, THIS I KNOW!

Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong, they are weak but he is strong! Jesus loves me, he will stay, close beside me all the way. He’s prepared a home for me, and some day His face I’ll see.
