Spartans Compete at Wagner, De Smet Meets

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Spartans competed in the Wagner Relays.

Anna Arhart placed second in the shot put (33’ 9”) and threw 88’ 5” in discus.

In the 2-mile run, Masynn Mebius ran 15:07.05 and Alexis Roesler 16:15.91. The 800-meter relay team of Kendall Kolousek, Logan Mohling, Brooke Mohling and Ella Kolousek finished in 2:09.30. Kenzie Kolousek won the 400-meter dash with the fastest time of the meet at 1:01.02. Logan Mohling ran 1:09.06 (8th) and Alexis Roesler 1:25.06.

The medley relay team of Kendall Kolousek, Brooke Mohling, Ella Kolousek and Masynn Mebius ran 5:36.09 for seventh. Kenzie Kolousek placed fourth in the 800 (2:27.35), while Alexis Roesler ran 3:26.29. Brooke Mohling finished the 200 in 30.99.

In the mile relay, Kendall Kolousek, Ella Kolousek, Logan Mohling and Kenzie Kolousek placed fifth in 4:36.53.

For the boys, Grady Gran (41’ 5.5”) and Jaspur Gran (41’ 0.5”) placed fifth and sixth in shot put, while Brett Miller threw 38’ 9”. In discus, Grady threw 101’ 10”, Jaspur 86’ 11” and Brett 68’ 0”. Grason Finn jumped 15’ 6.25” in long jump. Wesley Molnar (110’ 3”) and Nathan Gaikowski (116’ 8”) competed in javelin. Carson Finn cleared 5’ 10” (6th) in high jump, with Chase Dunsmore also competing.

The 3200-meter relay team of Max Mebius, Carson Finn, Logan Mebius and Sutten Jensen won in 8:48.63. In the 100, Nolan Schaller ran 13.17; Ezra Anson, 13.47; Grason Finn, 13.56; and Chase Dunsmore, 14.51. The 800 relay of Nathan Gaikowski, Wesley Molnar, Will Grohs and Nolan Schaller placed fourth (1:41.89).

Sutten Jensen ran 5:19 in the mile (officially 5:52.39 due to technical issues). The 400 relay of Nathan, Wes, Max and Logan ran 48.34 (5th). In the 400, Grason Finn ran 1:04.05; Nolan Schaller, 1:07.02; Kohen Mebius, 1:08.37; and Ezra Anson, 1:08.50. The medley relay (Nathan, Wes, Grason, Kohen) finished in 4:41.93.

In the 800, Sutten Jensen ran 2:24.11 and Zandon Beyer 2:57.04. In the 200, Ezra Anson ran 28.07; Nolan Schaller, 28.53; and Chase Dunsmore, 30.43. The mile relay team of Max Mebius, Carson Finn, Will Grohs and Logan Mebius placed third in 3:44.37.

On Thursday, April 16, the Spartans competed at the De Smet Booster Invitational.

Anna Arhart placed third in shot put (34’ 11.75”) and threw 82’ 10” in discus. The 800 relay of Kendall Kolousek, Logan Mohling, Brooke Mohling and Ella Kolousek ran 2:04.25.

Alexis Roesler ran 7:40.12 in the mile and 1:26.50 in the 400. Kenzie Kolousek won the 400 in 59.12, setting a new school record and breaking her previous mark.

The medley relay (Kendall, Brooke, Logan, Ella) ran 5:23.99. Alexis Roesler ran 3:27.96 in the 800, and Brooke Mohling posted 32.54 in the 200. The mile relay of Kendall Kolousek, Ella Kolousek, Logan Mohling and Kenzie Kolousek placed sixth in 4:35.47.

Grady Gran threw 41’ 7.25” in shot put and 106’ 8” in discus. Grason Finn jumped 15’ 10” in long jump. Carson Finn won high jump, clearing 5’ 11”.

The 3200 relay of Carson, Sutten Jensen, Grason and Max Mebius placed second (9:35.30). In the 100, Kohen Mebius ran 14.39 and Chase Dunsmore 15.29. The 800 relay of Wesley Molnar, Will Grohs, Nolan Schaller and Ezra Anson ran 1:44.35.

Sutten Jensen ran 5:15.44 in the mile. The 400 relay (Wes, Will, Ezra, Grason) ran 50.66. Logan Mebius placed third in the 400 (54.32), while Kohen Mebius ran 1:05.29 and Chase Dunsmore 1:08.43.

The medley relay (Wes, Nolan, Will, Carson) finished in 4:12.87. Max Mebius placed third in the 800 (2:18.56), and Ezra Anson ran 2:33.57. In the 200, Kohen Mebius ran 29.69 and Chase Dunsmore 30.66. Sutten Jensen ran 11:50.25 in the 2-mile. The mile relay (Logan, Max, Wes, Nolan) finished in 3:58.87.

The Spartans will next compete April 21 in Corsica, with some athletes absent due to the State FFA Convention. They will then travel to Mount Vernon on April 24 for the Chad Greenway Relays.
