Last week, the Springs Legion team took on Alexandria last Thursday at David Jost Field. Despite losing 15-2, fans were treated to an exciting first few innings with Mason Schelske on the mound.

Just about every evening of the week during the month of June, those that venture outdoors are sure to hear the cheers of fans rooting for the home team in Wessington Springs. Whether it’s little league, youth softball, VFW Teeners, Legion baseball or The Owls, fans of summertime ball have had an abundance of opportunities to grab some popcorn or some sunflower seeds and take in a game.
