The International P.E.O. STAR Scholarship Board of Trustees announced that Harlee Heim, a 2023 graduate of Wessington Springs High School, was selected as a recipient of a $2,500 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. The STAR Scholarship recognizes young women of stellar achievement. Harlee was one of the 1000 international recipients this year. The Board of Trustees commended Harlee for her academic achievements, leadership, and service to her school and community.
The members of Chapter D, the local chapter, and every P.E.O. member in the United States and Canada wish Harlee success in her post-secondary educational endeavor. We are pleased to share in part of her academic life and her commitment to higher education. The P.E.O. STAR Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional women in their final year of high school to attend an accredited postsecondary educational institution in the U.S. or Canada in the next academic year.
