Season Greetings to my patrons and wonderful community. I hope it has been a good year for you. Now, for my 2025 recap.I do have some wonderful and exciting news to share with everyone.

From a small idea to a shining tradition: Wessington Parade of Lights built by community

What began as a handful of four-wheelers lighting up Main Street has grown into one of Wessington’s biggest and brightest holiday traditions.Thirteen years ago, Karen Clarke dreamed up what would become the Wessington Parade of Lights.

Sleds, Cocoa and a Hidden Santa: Winter Park and Museum Events Celebrate the Season in Wessington Springs

Families enjoyed a wintry afternoon during Winter Magic in the Park on Sunday, Dec. 7, as kids sledded, skated and climbed aboard horse-drawn wagon rides around Winter Park. Inside the historic Field House, visitors warmed up with hot cocoa, snacks and hands-on holiday crafts.

First Graders Celebrate Fall Tradition with Dairy and Pumpkin Patch Visit

First grade students from Wolsey-Wessington School enjoyed a fall tradition on Thursday, October 23, with their annual trip to the Lazy J Dairy and the Larsen family pumpkin patch. This long-standing tradition has been a favorite for generations of students in the district.
