Lori Danburg, manager of the Farmers Union Oil gas station and convenience store in Wessington, stands inside the future County Line Bar and Bites, leaning against the repurposed vintage bar brought in from a former establishment in Parkston.
Renovations inside the former co-op mechanic shop continue to take shape with updated electrical, HVAC, paint, doors and mounted televisions already complete. The project was launched following the closure of The Sunset earlier this year, with cooperative leaders aiming to create a new gathering place for the community.
The new bar and restaurant is expected to open later this summer.
