With one of the largest crowds in its history, the Wessington Springs Fire Department’s FunFest served up over 300 burgers and brats during a night packed with bouncy houses, fire hose games, cornhole, and community connection. Families filled the fire hall grounds for an evening of summer fun and hometown spirit.
Throughout the evening on Friday, August 1, 2025, locals and visitors showed up in huge and steady numbers to support the Wessington Springs Volunteer Fire Department at one of its largest fundraisers of the year. Children had a ball at FunFest with a bouncy house, cornhole and fire hose games south of the fire hall. Serving up hundreds of burgers and brats kept firemen such as grillers Kim Schultz and Jarrod Bultsma busy at the barbecue.
