Pars for Patients Slated for Friday, June 9 at Springs Country Club, Jerauld County 4-H Building

On Par to Support Local Healthcare in Springs, Horizon Health Foundation Gears Up for 3rd Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction

Plans are well underway as Horizon Health Foundation announces details for their 3rd annual Pars for Patients fundraising traveling golf tournament, dinner and auction. This year, the event will be hosted on Friday, June 9 at the Springs Country Club and Jerauld County 4-H Building in Wessington Springs.

Funds raised will be directed toward muchneeded medical and dental equipment at Jerauld County Dental Clinic and Jerauld County Community Health Center. The event supports the Foundation’s mission: To inspire and empower our patients by providing funding for accessible and affordable healthcare. All funds raised will stay in Jerauld County to support patient care through programs that remove barriers to care, medical and dental equipment, and updates to clinic.

“We are so excited Pars for Patients is coming to Wessington Springs,” said Dr. Lance Lim, provider at Jerauld CountyCommunity Health Center. “Now in its third year, this traveling event is a way for people to enjoy a day of golf, food and fun while supporting the specific healthcare needs of their community. This year, all funds raised will benefit the medical and dental clinics here in Wessington Springs and most importantly, our patients.”

The day starts with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. when eighty golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a wide variety of games and prizes and lunch on the course sponsored by See The Trainer. Registration is $300 per team or $75 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch on the course, prime rib dinner and live auction banquet. Golfers have a chance to purchase “Super Tickets” for $25 per person and includes two mulligans and one entry to win $500 cash. Registration for the tournament begins at 10:30 a.m.

Those not interested in or able to golf can rest assured they can still support the Horizon medical and dental clinics in Wessington Springs by purchasing a ticket ($30 each) to the prime rib dinner catered by Sweet Grass and sponsored by L Double J/Seed Barn/ Rob-See-Co. The meal will be held at the Jerauld County 4-H Building with social hour, silent, and live auction. Social hour begins on Friday evening at 4:30 p.m. with dinner served starting at 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are available to purchase until May 25.
