The community is invited to attend The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 14 poker run scheduled for this Saturday, August 10 at Pin Twisters Bowling Alley, registration is from 8-10:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 10:45 a.m, all vehicles are welcome.
Starting at 5 p.m. a free will community supper will be served and musical entertainment for the night will start at 6 p.m. with the Good Ole Boys. The Sons of the American Legion will be selling 50/50 tickets and the American Legion will be selling Roxor side-by-side raffle tickets.
The Sons of the American Legion was created in 1923 as an organization within The American Legion. It is made up of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in The American Legion. Some membership dues go towards advocating for Veterans at the State and DC level.
Proceeds from this event will go towards the Legion Baseball fund and Veteran recognition at cemeteries. Please call (605) 730-2639 with any questions. Lodging is available at Travelers Motel and various camping spots in the park.
