Wessington Springs to Host Winter Magic in the Park Dec. 7

Wessington Springs will continue its holiday festivities on Sunday, Dec. 7, with Winter Magic in the Park from 1 to 3 p.m., or until the horses get tired. The family event will feature horse-drawn wagon rides around Winter Park along with a winter craft activity for children.

WSHS Agriculture Program Wins Creative Solutions in Education Grant for Maple Syrup Project

Wessington Springs High School Vo-Ag Instructor Brady Duxbury has been selected as one of this year’s recipients of Architecture Incorporated’s Creative Solutions in Education Grant, an initiative created in 2021 to support innovative K–12 educators across South Dakota.

Holiday pie-baking action was once again in full swing at Wessington Springs High School (WSHS) and this year, the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students made history.

The annual Wessington Christmas Parade of Lights will return Saturday, Dec. 13, with this year’s theme, “Santa’s Workshop.” The parade begins at 6 p.m.The procession will start at the south end of Wessington Street and travel north through the business district.
