Bucks Junior High Football Wraps Up Season with Growth and Determination

Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central Bucks finish 2–5

The Woonsocket-Wessington Springs-Sanborn Central junior high Bucks closed out its 2025 season with a record of 2–5, capping off a year marked by determination, improvement, and teamwork.

“Our boys really worked hard this year and improved as the season progressed,” said Coach Armando Rodriguez. “We were undersized in most of our matchups, but they battled every game. Coach Trey Weber and I are proud of how they competed and represented the Bucks.”

The team notched victories over Mt. Vernon/ Plankinton and McCook Central/Montrose-Hanson (MHH), showing steady growth and resilience throughout the season. Leadership from team captains Chaz Larson, Wyatt Fagerhaug, Gannon Culver, Mauer Jones, and Hastin Heezen helped set the tone both on and off the field.

Coach Rodriguez extended thanks to all players for their commitment and sportsmanship, emphasizing that the experience gained this season will serve the young Bucks well as they continue developing their skills at the next level.
