Warbirds roll to 56-6 homecoming victory

    The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds gave the homecoming crowd plenty to celebrate Friday night, racing past Sunshine Bible Academy 56-6.

    The Warbirds exploded for 40 points in the first quarter and added 16 in the second to take a 56-6 advantage into halftime.

    Ty Boomsma completed 12 of 18 passes for 353 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.

    Cayson Walters was a favorite target, hauling in three passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 31 rushing yards and another score.

    Defensively, Camille Rearick recorded five tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack.
