A handful of eager kids arrived at the park promptly at 1 p.m. to take the long-awaited “first splash” into the newly-renovated city pool in Wessington Springs last Thursday. Just in time for the triple digit temperatures and an areawide heatwave over the weekend, the pool played host to dozens of families, providing a shiny and new, cool respite.
