Bethany Schimke, 2nd and Bloom Flower Shop owner, recently purchased the seasonal floral and plant greenhouse formerly known as Petal Pushers from Wessington Springs resident Tony Aldrich. She is pictured on Sunday, May 4, 2025, unloading a trailer of plants, hanging baskets, vegetables and many other garden goodies that will be available for sale beginning May 10, 2025.
In her second major business purchase within just four months, Bethany Schimke has once again ensured the future of floral in Wessington Springs.
Since purchasing the floral side of longtime florist Baker’s Design in February 2025 just before Valentine’s Day, Schimke rebranded the flower shop as 2nd & Bloom and has taken on weddings, funerals, prom and other jobs without missing a beat.
