Although baseball action doesn’t begin until Saturday at noon, David Jost Memorial Field in Wessington Springs is a flurry of activity as the City at the Foothills prepares to host round one of the Pony Hills League District Tournament July 27 and 28. Baseball fans and the community as a whole are encouraged to head to the ball field and take in a game or two as eight games are played over the course of two days this weekend.

As the regular season for amateur baseball wraps up and the Owls head into district play, let’s take a look at the last four games played by Wessington Springs.

Owls travel to Burke

For the final game of the season, the Owls traveled to play the Burke Bombers in a two game series.
