Margaret (Arnott) Olson

Margaret M. (Arnott) Olson was the second child born to George and Bessie Arnott in White Pidgeon, MI. Later that year the family moved to a farm in Hawkeye Valley, Wessington Springs. Margaret’s eight years of elementary schooling was in a one room school house known as Moore in Anina Township.

Robert Charles Brockman, 92, passed away at home on August 22, 2023, after a full, long life. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 31 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Timothy Scott Determan, 66, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life and sharing of memories will be held at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

LaVonne Nyla Cashman, age 62, of Wessington Springs passed away peacefully Saturday August 19, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Her celebration of life will be at 2 p.m., August 25 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs. Her service will be live streamed.

Patricia A. Berens passed away peacefully at her home in South Dakota, surrounded by family on July 21, 2023, at 73 years old. Pat was born to James and Virginia Bowles in Auburn, Washington on July 18, 1950. Pat graduated from Auburn Senior High.

Patricia Hotchkiss, age 74, of Huron, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron. Her Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron. Burial followed at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron.

Gloria Brockman

Gloria Elaine Brockman went to her eternal home at 11:04 p.m. Monday, July 31, after a short struggle with aplastic anemia and a long life. Gloria was born March 15, 1932, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, to Hugo and Clara Peterson.

Gary Schwartz

Gary Kurtis Schwartz, 78, died peacefully on April 3, 2023, at his home in Springdale, Arkansas. Born on April 12, 1944, in Tampa, Florida, to Kurtis W. and Janice Swanson Schwartz, he grew up in Wessington Springs, South Dakota.
