WHAT DOES LOVE LOOK LIKE?

Adapted from “Reflection” By Rev. Cheryl A. Lindsay, United Church of Christ Jesus spoke on love extensively and robustly. When asked to identify the greatest commandment, Jesus did not choose one. He distilled them all into one with two parts: Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the shrimp dinner from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen enjoyed the Elementary school spring concert on the school channel. It was delightful!

RURAL LIFE

What do we love about rural life? Visiting a bigger city can remind us of some of the reasons we choose this lifestyle: Peace and Quiet/Fresh Air – When you step outside your door, there is no traffic noise. You can hear birds, rustling leaves, cattle and of course the wind!

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the BBQ chicken dinner from the Senior Center. Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the meatloaf dinner from the Manor kitchen. Tuesday afternoon Marla Ness got some things Darleen needed.

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR

Love your neighbor. The directive is very familiar to all Christians. It is well known as the second of the Great Commandments. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment and the second is like it.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the hamburger, tater tots, etc. from the Manor kitchen at noon. In the evening Darleen watched the Twins and the New York baseball game. The Twins won 6-1.
