Annual Walk & Run for Wellness Kicks off Saturday Foothills Days Fun

This year’s Annual Walk & Run for Wellness hosted by Weskota Foundation will kickoff a fun Saturday on August 6 at the Wessington Springs Fire Hall. Registration for the 5k opens at 7 a.m. with the run beginning at 7:30 a.m. A Kids Fun Run (adult supervision required) starts at 8:30 a.m.

In an exciting and perhaps unexpected turn of events during district play last week in Chamberlain, the then 1-13 Wessington Springs Owls emerged victorious with a District 3B 17-11 win over Colome, advancing the Owls to the Class B state amateur baseball tournament.

POST 14 FINISHES 1-2 ON THE ROAD IN CLARK ROTARY LEGION TOURNAMENT

Springs Post 14 Legion Baseball traveled north last week to take part in the Clark Rotary Legion Tournament. After defeating Clark on Thursday 11-0 right off the bat, a rain delay prevented the boys from playing their second game of the day and eventually postponed all Thursday play until Saturday.
