After months of seeking a carpenter with the tools and most importantly, time, to hang the True Dakotan's new signage on its recently renovated Main Street building, a trio of save-the-day sign installers from Jensen Construction arrived on scene last Friday to get the job done.
Craig Jensen, his grandson Sutten and Jensen Construction employee Xavier Baysinger made quick and precise work of hanging the metal sign made by the welding outfit at Spring Valley Colony.
This isn't the first time that Sutten and one of his grandparents were newspaper building heroes. The grandma-grandson duo of Peggi Jensen and Sutten were the first to notice smoke billowing out of the AC unit of the newspaper building on June 12, 2020 as they pulled onto Main Street. Their quick action to alert True Dakotan Publisher Kristi Hine and first responders proved valuable in preventing the fire from spreading further.
