The Forbes sisters of Wessington Springs (Delia Atkinson, Jean Ferguson, and Cathy Perry) recently took a road trip to Forbes, ND. The town was founded in 1905 by Mr. S.F. Forbes, a railroad agent and town merchant.
Sadly, the town now has a population of only around 50 but the sisters had plenty of photo ops in front of the bank, the Forbes Store and the Forbes Equity Exchange. On the way home they stopped in Ellendale, ND for a garage sale. Then they went to Aberdeen to attend Sizzlin’ Summer Nights. It was a great day, and they took True Dakotan newspaper with them everywhere along their travels.
