Mackinac Island, MI: Merle and Karon Stevens traveled with their True Dakotan e-edition to Mackinac Island, MI. They took the ferry to and from the island and enjoyed the scenery and horse and buggy transportation. “We took a carriage ride around the island for 1.5 hours and went to see Fort Mackinac. We ate at the Grand Hotel and my husband forged a hunting-type knife,” Karon shared. “We went on a sip and sail night ride under the five mile bridge, ate fudge and watched them flip it on big tables. We took a horse taxi and loved to just sit and watch the horses clip, clap down the street.”
