Attendees of the 13th Annual Festival of Tables will have more than beautifully decorated tables and fellowship to enjoy this year, as a variety of door prizes and silent auction items have been lined up for the May 2 event at the Wessington Springs Senior Center.

A documentary celebrating 100 years of FFA in South Dakota is now in production, and the idea for the project began in Wessington Springs.

The City of Wessington Springs will conduct its annual spring clean-up on Monday, May 11. Residents are asked to have items placed at the curb by 7 a.m.City crews will collect tree branches, appliances, furniture and carpet.

On Tuesday, April 21, Lisa Sall of the Jerauld County Conservation District and Lokesh Bhattarai of the Forestry Division of the State Resource Conservation office visited fifth-grade students at Wessington Springs Elementary School for the annual Arbor Day program.
