“Gifts that help the community continue to thrive”
The Wessington Springs Area Community Foundation (WSACF) recently awarded grants totaling $6,000 to four groups as a part of its mission to help fund local organizations and projects which help keep Wessington Springs a desirable community in which we live and work, and to promote a thriving hometown for those who come to visit.
Awards for the current grant cycle were given to: Dunham Historical Society to help fund a renovation to its electrical system. The Wessington Springs Area Chamber and Development received two grants, one to help with props, lighting and advertising for the Trail of Fears annual event; secondly, a grant to help fund equipment, materials and entertainment for the annual Rockin’ Ribfest event.
