The Three Sisters Family Reunion took place on Saturday June 27, 2026 at the Wessington Springs City Park.
The three sisters — Betty Hoefert, Hazel Wilson, and Carol Hettinger — had family picnics in the park for manyyears.Afterahiatus, their grandchildren; Culley Wilson, Amber (Roti) Moldrem, Candi (Hettinger) Briley, and Kelsey Larson formed a committee to get a reunion started again. There was an unofficial count of 102 people at the reunion that day with the Wilson family wearing yellow shirts, Hettinger family wearing turquoise shirts, Hoefert family wearing red shirts and the Miller/ Svoboda family wearing orange shirts.
The families enjoyed burgers, hotdogs, chicken from the Springs Inn, and everyone brought a dish to share just like the three sisters loved to do.
Everybody enjoyed sitting around and visiting with the kids taking in the local pool and park. Fun was had by all!
