History and heritage of Jerauld County carefully preserved and honored by volunteers

Dunham Historical Society volunteers and board members held a last hurrah this month at the Jerauld County Pioneer Museum, celebrating the season with beautifully decorated trees throughout the museum, music performed by Mary Jane Belz and Susan Arnott (pictured above) but also sharing plans of the upcoming building swap between the museum and Jensen’s True Value.

The museum board that had been lacking sufficient space for the plethora of historic items regularly donated and brought to the museum decided it would be a win-win to make the move.

A win for the museum, enabling many possibilities when it comes to space so that the board can make their vision of expansion and interactive displays a reality. A gain for Jensen and Younie, who also own Springs Food Market next door to the museum, to run both businesses within one building.
