From the halls of WSHS we bring a new project to this week’s Artist’s Corner.
This project was recently completed by Advanced Art I senior, Mariah Messmer. For this project, Mariah chose to work with acrylic paint as she has never really worked with them before and wanted to learn how to blend colors together. She practiced blending the sky colors quite a few times before starting the final in order to create smooth transitions from one color to another. The tree reflection in the water added a new challenge of blending black to orange and yellow. Overall, the blending turned out well, creating a beautiful South Dakota sunset scene.
