A Call for Civility

A while back, I was welcoming home a National Guard unit that had been overseas. After the ceremony, a sergeant who had been deployed three times, including twice to an active combat zone, thanked me for my service, saying he couldn’t imagine a post so difficult.I was speechless.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning and Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.Darleen enjoyed the chicken salad and peach sauce from the Senior Center delivered by Joanne Grohs. Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago Cubs in the evening. The Minnesota Twins won 3-0.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson got it later in the forenoon.Darleen enjoyed the hamburger, tater tots, beans and blueberry dessert from the Manor kitchen. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the New York Mets. The NY Mets won big 15-2.

Darleen’s granddaughter Becky Bell Krueger got some things Darleen needed and stayed to visit a while.

Darleen wrote her news Monday morning. Delia got it later in the forenoon.Darleen enjoyed the cordon bleu chicken dinner and cake from the Manor kitchen. At 2:30 p.m. Darleen had a long walk to the clinic for her six-month check-up with Dr. Lim. She received a good report.
