We finished legislative day 25, 13 days remain in the 2024 Legislative Session. The Joint Committee on Appropriations completed its task of setting revenue projections for the balance of fiscal year 2024 and for fiscal year 2025. For 2024 revenue is expected to be $2.

THE VOID

The void………..those unexpected events that blind side us. We have the option to react or respond. Our choice will make all the difference in the outcome as we overcome with victory. A family in our community recently lost a child. The ripple effect has been enormous.

Week 6 in the state legislature flew by again and hosted a wide range of very important bills. Crossover Day is on the horizon, and with it could bring some long days. Crossover Day is the final day for bills to crossover from their chamber of origin.

“Cuppys Corner”

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson came to get it later in the day. Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the ham dinner from the Manor kitchen. The Spartans girls and boys played at Kimball/White Lake. The JV girls won 36-10, the JV boys lost by 2 points.

Darleen Cuppy wrote her Cuppy’s Corner News Monday morning. Delia Atkinson came to get it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner from the Manor kitchen. Tuesday Darleen put some Valentine decorations in the dining room. She enjoyed the roast pork dinner from the Manor kitchen.

Owls Baseball is Right Around the Corner

Dear True Dakotan Readers and Owls Fans, Although it is not baseball weather, the district meeting is this month, which means baseball is right around the corner. Your Owls had a nice run last season and really started to figure out how to win at the amateur level.

We finished legislative day 21. The Joint Committee on Appropriations continues with budget hearings and will conclude that process next week after which we will set budgets for all 37 agencies.
