Darleen Cuppy wrote her news Monday morning. Delia Atkinson came to get it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the hamburger, onion rings, etc., and her favorite strawberry pretzel dessert from the Manor kitchen. Elaine Roetman brought the Methodist bulletin and stayed to visit awhile.

SHARED SUFFERING

There is suffering in our community. That was evident during prayer time on Sunday. Suffering won’t go away this side of heaven, but it shouldn’t be gone through alone. There is nothing that binds people like shared suffering.

Highcostsandshortagesof pharmaceuticals are serious, on-going issues. Drug prices in the US are among the highest in the world. A recent survey by the Rand Corporation looked at drug prices in 32 developed countries.

Appreciated the article on the CO2 pipeline

True Dakotan, I appreciated the article on the CO2 pipeline in the True Dakotan by Bart Pfankuch. We’ve been bombarded with pseudoscience of the dangers of CO2. But what’s terrifying is the taking of private property for non-public use.

Orville has hit a home run for the community with recent HOF award

Dear Editor, The article on Orville being selected to The Hall of Fame for amateur baseball in South Dakota is GREAT! Orville and his brothers helped Wessinton Springs during American Legion baseball days and I competed with and against Orville on many a baseball game over the years.
