Greetings from Pierre. As we move further into the session things are picking up. More and more bills are being processed and the votes on the floor are increasing. As of Thursday 270 bills have been dropped. As I shared we are working on balancing the state’s budget year.

Dear Editor, The role that immigration has played, will play and should play in our society has been a topic of great debate. The Trump administration believes that anyone who is not a fully documented US citizen should be removed from the country. On the surface, a seemingly reasonable policy.

On Monday, January 26, the weather started to warm up, and it was nice to see the sunshine coming in my window. I had cream of wheat for breakfast and went to the whirlpool bath. I had half of a hamburger for lunch. I did my therapy exercises and then we played bingo in the afternoon.

On Monday, January 19, 2026, it was very cold and blustery day. There was no school due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Becky stopped to remind me that there would not be any mail delivered today because of the Holiday as well. I watched the Spartans play in the 281 basketball tournament.

Monday, January 12, 2026, Grandma Dar enjoyed sitting in the whirlpool tub. She really enjoyed her Cream of Wheat breakfast with hardboiled egg and orange slices. Grandma Dar had therapy with Jen Jensen. On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, it was her son-in-law, Jeff Theurer’s birthday.
